THE POSITION

In this position, you will oversee a variety of tasks associated with the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of commercial electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment. Your duties maanna સહ include developing and installing electrical condu shown for power and lighting in storage areas, as well as diagnosing and resolving power outages and short circuits. You will be responsible for repairing controllers, lights, power circuits, and electrical generators, and for installing both open and concealed wiring, switches, and controls.

Your role will also encompass the installation, alteration, repair, maintenance, and testing of various electrical equipment and connections. This will involve removing, repairing, and replacing defective controls and components, performing preventative maintenance on electrical equipment, panels, and generators, and interpreting blueprints to identify issues within a range of electrical systems. You will troubleshoot and address power failures and electrical malfunctions, including replacing worn or faulty switches and outlets.

Moreover, you will guide authorized county personnel in the installation of electrical devices for equipment and lighting in personnel buildings and storage areas, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.

• Full‑time employment
• Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).

• Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

• This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
