This position,
Tax Examiner III - Temporary (Job Requisition #53944), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Duties are performed in a standard office setting. Workload pressure may vary over time. Some routine data entry may be required in certain positions or for certain periods. Incumbents must be able to concentrate on details and perform accurate work in the face of frequent interruptions. Human relations skills may be needed to deal with the general public. Incumbent will likely encounter stressful situations and differences of opinion with taxpayers or their representatives.

There is regular pressure from continual work deadlines.

• Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) AND one (1) year or more of experience with accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Associate's degree or higher with courses in accounting, finance, business administration, taxation AND two (2) years or more of experience in accounting, auditing, or tax processing related duties.
• High school diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of experience in accounting, auditing, or tax processing related duties.
• One (1) year or more as a Tax Examiner II.
