The Vermont Agency of Education seeks a detail-oriented fiscal analyst to support statewide education finance operations through financial analysis, data management, and reporting. The role involves collecting, validating, and maintaining school district financial data in accordance with state standards, conducting data quality assurance, analyzing trends, and developing reporting tools. The position reports to a Senior Fiscal Analyst and contributes to the Agency's commitment to accurate, reliable, and accessible education finance information.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, statistics, or related field with 1+ years of finance/fiscal analysis experience, OR 5+ years of related experience
- Experience with data tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Power Query
- Experience with financial or ERP systems (eFinancePlus, Tyler ERP)
- Experience in school district or public sector finance
- Project management and coordination experience
- Experience supporting data collection, validation, and reporting processes
