Unit Description

Central Vermont Medical Center: is a community-based hospital in Berlin, VT. Our Medical/Surgical Unit at CVMC comprises two units: 2 South (42 beds) and 2 North (9 beds). It is a fast‑paced environment serving a diverse patient population, including acute management of chronic disease, orthopedic surgery, and general surgery. As a nurse on our floor, you’ll work with experienced staff, new graduates, nursing assistants, physicians, and other professionals committed to teamwork, growth, and excellence in patient care.

We value open communication, respect, and teamwork, fostering a positive atmosphere for personal and professional growth. We maintain supportive nurse‑to‑patient ratios, typically 1:4 on days and 1:5 at night.

On-call

Not required.

Requirements
  • Current RN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
  • Appropriate experience in a specific clinical area (varies by unit).
