Montpelier, Vermont has (1) current opening for a Street Maintenance worker within the Streets Division of Public Works. The person filling this position will work with a streets crew performing skilled work in winter operations, construction, maintenance and repair of streets, drainage culverts, sidewalks, signage, and other appurtenances in the City Right of Way.

The successful candidate will, at a minimum, have the following qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, or vocational school; a valid Vermont class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement preferred; and be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug testing.

The City of Montpelier offers a comprehensive benefit package. The range of compensation for the position is $25.00 to $27.57 per hour dependent on experience, qualifications, and an interview inclusive of meeting the requirements of a proficiency matrix.

This is a union position, and a copy of the Union Contract is available upon request.
