Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant Role
Step into the Senior Accountant role at Cogeco Communications in Montréal. This position focuses on financial statement preparation, compliance, and team mentorship while allowing for hybrid flexibility.

As a Senior Accountant, you will apply GAAP principles to prepare financial reports and analyze transactions. Your work will include lease reviews per IFRS 16, cash reconciliations, and overseeing account balances. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with IFRS 16 in lease schedules

• Review daily cash reconciliations for accuracy

• Assess accounting transactions for adherence to standards

• Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations

• Support internal and external audit functions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• 3-5 years of relevant experience

• Strong understanding of GAAP

• Advanced Excel proficiency required
