Responsibilities
Conduct reviews, auditsSet-up files for new clientsManage multiple files simultaneously and conduct inventory countsPerform financial reporting, treasury, accounts receivable and revenue, accounts payable and purchases, capital asset and intangible asset acquisition and disposition, payroll and other relevant cycle walk-throughs with clientsSummarize clients’ current financial status by collecting information and validating balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other relevant reportsAssess and assure appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, capital asset additions, accounts payable, accounts receivable and prepaid expenses etc…Review and investigate discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents and reportsReview charts of accounts and entries posted to accountsPrepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts and highlightsDevelop effective working relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team membersParticipate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunitiesMaintain flexibility to travel, as necessarySkills and Experience
2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting experienceCPA designationExtensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Assurance Standards (GAAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is a plusExperience working with accounting softwareUnderstanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles
