Experienced Accounting Clerk

Position: Experienced Accounting Clerk Needed
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk for a permanent position in Ottawa with a prominent national industry association. This full-time role will engage you in managing accounts and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience and proficiency with accounting software, especially Sage 300. Responsibilities include handling accounts receivable and payable, maintaining general ledger entries, and addressing inquiries. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoicing and employee Visa statements

• Handle month-end procedures and foreign exchange calculations

• Maintain and update the general ledger accurately

• Respond professionally to customer and vendor inquiries

• Prepare financial reporting documentation as required

Requirements:

• Educational background in accounting or related fields

• Proven bookkeeping experience of 3+ years

• Strong Excel skills and communication abilities

• Not-for-profit experience is a plus

• Eligible to work in Canada
