Position: Payroll Specialist for Manufacturing at HPS

Become a Payroll Specialist at Hammond Power Solutions, overseeing payroll for Ontario and Quebec staff. This role demands precision in payroll computations and efficient accounting practices in a manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Canadian Accounting Manager, the Payroll Specialist will engage in comprehensive payroll processing, including complex computations and ensuring compliance with employment contracts. You'll also be integral in maintaining employee benefits and facilitating communication with government offices regarding payroll-related reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll, bonuses, and director’s fees accurately

• Assess and improve payroll controls and efficiency

• Record payroll data and perform GL reconciliations

• Setup and manage employee benefits like ESOP and RSP

• Communicate with CRA and other government offices

Requirements:

• Completed Diploma or Degree in a related field

• 2-5 years of relevant payroll experience

• Payroll Compliance Certification (PCP) mandatory

• Strong skills in MS Office, especially Excel

• Bilingualism in English and French preferred
