As a Senior Technician, Outsourcing Services at Forvis Mazars, you will be an integral member of our dynamic team, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional client service. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing their accounting and tax compliance needs. You will work with a wide range of organizations that vary in legal structure, size, and economic environment, providing you with exposure to diverse challenges and opportunities for professional growth.

- Perform bookkeeping activities for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.
- Record revenues and expenses, perform bank reconciliations, and complete other tasks related to the accounting cycle.
- Prepare and manage tax compliance requirements, including sales tax returns, corporate income tax filings, and annual tax slips.
- Deliver client reports and other deliverables in collaboration with the Manager.
- Contribute to the onboarding and integration of new clients.
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) or College Diploma (DEC) in Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience creating dashboards, preparing financial reports, and managing data security practices is considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software, particularly Quick Books Online (QBO).
- Strong understanding of sales tax regulations and compliance.
- Solid accounting expertise, including local accounting standards, accruals, analytical procedures, payroll accounting, and foreign exchange adjustments.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in spoken and written French is required.
- Proficiency in English is also required due to the nature of our clientele and our partners across Canada (particularly in English-speaking provinces) and internationally, where English is the business language. An advanced level of comprehension and oral communication is generally required, with daily usage depending on duties and assignments.
