Manager​/Senior Manager, Accounting

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Accounting to join our growing practice in Montreal. This is a leadership role responsible for managing client engagements, reviewing accounting and tax files, mentoring team members, and serving as an advisor to our clients.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, client-focused, and capable of overseeing multiple engagements while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

• Prepare, review and oversee preparation of Case Ware Financial Statements (ASPE)
• Prepare and review year-end working papers and supporting documentation
• Ensure files meet firm quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Provide technical guidance on accounting matters and financial reporting issues
• Ensure proper file documentation and workflow management
• Prepare, review and oversee bookkeeping and bank/investment write-up reviews when required

• Prepare, review and oversee preparation of T2 Corporate Tax Returns
• Prepare, review and oversee preparation of T1 Personal Tax Returns

• Serve as a point of contact for a portfolio of clients
• Participate in client meetings and communicate financial and tax matters clearly
• Provide proactive business advisory services
• Manage client expectations, deadlines, and deliverables

• Ensure proper file documentation and workflow management
• Oversee bookkeeping and bank/investment write-up reviews when required
• Monitor engagement profitability, budgets, and timelines
• Support firm growth initiatives and operational improvements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting
• Strong experience with:
  • Case Ware Financial Statements (ASPE)
  • T2 Corporate Tax Returns
  • T1 Personal Tax Returns
  • Year-end engagements (compilations and reviews) and working paper reviews
• Previous experience managing staff and reviewing engagement files
• Strong understanding of Canadian accounting and tax regulations
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously
• Experience with Sage, Case Ware, DT Max, and other accounting software is considered an asset
