Accounting manager

Are you passionate about accounting, known for your rigor, leadership, and ability to optimize processes? As an Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in managing and supervising our accounting operations while working with a dedicated and dynamic team.
Your main responsibilities:
- Prepare UAP Inc.'s consolidated financial statements on a monthly basis and perform accounting analyses;
- Serve as the primary point of contact between GPC and the UAP accounting team;
- Organize, supervise, and train head office accountants and treasury clerks.
- Act as an advisor to departments to improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies;
- Supervise and participate in the preparation of head office budgets and consolidated budget reports;
- Collaborate with the Corporate Assistant Controller on external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with key controls for the cash cycle;
- Ensure that accounting policies and standards are understood and applied by all accounting staff.
To join our team, you need, among other things:
- A bachelor's degree and/or a recognized accounting designation with a minimum of 5 years in a similar position;
- Knowledge of accounting theory, consolidation, and internal controls (asset);
- Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, as you will need to collaborate with colleagues and clients across Canada.
