A manufacturing client in Greater Montreal is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead their accounting functions. This role involves hands-on accounting, project costing, and direct exposure to senior leadership.

You will be the key player in managing daily accounting tasks and month-end closes, supporting the President and CFO directly, and contributing strategic insights. Ideal candidates have 5-9 years of progressive experience in manufacturing accounting, a solid grasp of GAAP, and the ability to effectively communicate without a large support team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day accounting and month-end closing

• Manage project/job costing and inventory accounting

• Provide forecasts and reporting for leadership

• Utilize Quick Books for accounting tasks and expense tracking

• Support scaling operations through partnership

Requirements:

• 5-9 years of relevant accounting experience

• Strong background in GAAP and project costing

• CPA or Canadian equivalent preferred

• Bachelor's degree in related field

• Comfortable being the lead accountant
