Accounting and Finance Assistant Controller

Location: Montreal

Become part of MB Global Foods as an Assistant Controller, overseeing vital accounting operations in a collaborative team. This role focuses on financial reporting, month-end closing, and process improvements.

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Assistant Controller is crucial in ensuring accurate completion of monthly general ledger tasks, account reconciliations, and managing financial statements. You will also supervise Accounts Payable and Receivable activities while working closely with internal departments to enhance financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete monthly general ledger closing and journal entries

• Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities

• Manage various GL account reconciliations

• Assist in preparing monthly and year-end financial statements

• Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in accounting software; SAP is an asset
