Operational Accounting Director Banking Controls

Strengthen banking controls and accounting reliability in Quebec while leading daily operations, reconciliations, cash flow, and audit support activities.

As Assistant Director, Operational Accounting, you will oversee reliable transactions for banking activities, accounts payable, and premium collections. You will manage cash flow, review documentation, address audit and regulatory requests, and coordinate accounting work across demanding reporting deadlines. Collaboration with actuarial, operations, tax, and corporate teams is central to this position.

• Ensure reliable banking, payable, and premium collection entries
• Manage and optimize cash flow
• Review supporting documentation, responses, and reconciliations
• Coordinate external audit and regulatory accounting matters
• Represent operational accounting during product implementation meetings

• CPA designation and accounting bachelor’s degree
• At least 12 years of operational accounting experience
• Excellent IFRS, auditing, and taxation knowledge
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft suite proficiency
• Insurance or reinsurance experience considered a significant asset
