Overview
Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Estimating Administrator to support our civil estimating team. This position plays an important role in coordinating incoming tender opportunities, maintaining accurate bid information and ensuring estimators have the documents and information required to prepare competitive bids.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary point of contact for the Civil Estimating Department.
Monitor the estimating inbox and direct incoming communications appropriately.
Perform preliminary research and create packages for review.
Download, organize and maintain tender documents and electronic bid folders.
Maintain the bid board with new opportunities, deadlines and tender requirements.
Track, file and communicate addenda and document revisions with the team.
Save and distribute supplier and subcontractor quotations for estimator review.
Maintain various tracking sheets in Excel and other software.
Provide general administrative and document control support to the estimating team.
Requirements
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet constantly changing deadlines.
Highly detail oriented, self‑directed, organized and proactive.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work under stress and tight deadlines.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and electronic file management.
Previous administrative experience in construction, estimating or document control is considered an asset.
Familiarity with electronic tendering platforms is considered an asset.

Wage Range
The salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $45,000 and $55,000 per year. However, the range offered may vary further depending on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience and other objective business considerations.
