Auto Transmission Technician

Jim Keay Ford Lincoln is a family owned automotive dealership that has been in business in the Ottawa market for over 40 years. We are seeking a hard-working, energetic and driven Licensed Transmission Service Technician to join our winning team!

The Transmission Service Technician provides automotive services by performing inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently, safely and according to Ford’s quality and time standards. Complies with Ford and dealership’s safety and environmental programs and practices.

What we’re looking for:

Strong personal Skill and the ability to work independent.

Perform maintenance repair on customer vehicles, identify Transmission problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment. Ability to perform estimate and explain automotive repairs to the Service Advisor/Customer.

Ability to use adequate information to perform repairs. (Shop Manual, wiring diagram, Etc).

Positive work ethics, like challenges and a drive to succeed.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

Must hold valid 310S certificates and licenses as required by Provincial law

Valid G Class Driver’s License

Minimum two years’ experience in the Automotive Transmission Diagnostic and repair.
