Prodigy is looking for a Senior Project Coordinator to join our team on one of our project sites in Ottawa. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about construction, enjoys being part of a collaborative site team, and is ready to support the delivery of commercial and institutional projects. The Senior Project Coordinator will play an important role in organizing, coordinating, and supporting project activities while balancing cost, schedule, quality, safety, and documentation requirements.

Working closely with the project team, this role supports the successful execution of projects of varying size and complexity in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

Scheduling, planning, cost management, quality management, safety management, and contractual obligations

Preparing subcontracts and purchase orders for issuance

Managing RFIs and change order processes

Preparing weekly and monthly progress reports

Taking and distributing meeting minutes

Maintaining project documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures

Supporting project start-up and close-out documentation

Monitoring project activities to ensure alignment with scope, budget, schedule, procedures, and standards

Communicating professionally with consultants, vendors, trades, clients, and design professionals

Responding to client inquiries and supporting timely follow-up

Assisting with project-related activities such as shipping, receiving, pricing, and sourcing project materials

Supporting site quality control and deficiency management

Promoting a strong health and safety culture that reflects Prodigy’s values

About You

Post-secondary education in project management, construction, or a related field

Experience in commercial construction

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

Experience with MS Project, Procore, and Bluebeam, considered an asset

Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills

A high level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism

Flexibility and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced construction environment

A willingness to learn, grow, and support the project team wherever needed

Approximate Annual Salary Range for this role: $80,000 - $90,000. Final compensation is determined based on experience, certifications, education/training, work location, and the size and complexity of the projects assigned.
