Planning & Scheduling Manager

Lead, manage and oversee the work of other Schedulers on the typical (i.e., Highrise, Hospital, Public Transit, etc.) projects.
Lead the planning and schedule preparation process during pursuits and respond to RFP documents, particularly in complex projects (P3, DBFM, DB, CM).
Prior to project start, create and revise preliminary master schedules and proposals for Operations, detailing the sequence of all work to be performed to ensure the schedule is realistic and competitive.
Evaluate construction progress and perform regular progress updates (bi-weekly or monthly), and prepare the reports for evaluation of the schedule's health. Maintain the integrity of the master schedule for each project and identify and record the impact of work performed according to the schedule. Prepare and maintain the project schedule log on a regular basis.
Project the total job costs by comparing the estimated costs in the Baseline schedule with actual costs/performance after a schedule update.
Develop and maintain a database of construction productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times and project risk items.
Qualifications
10+ years of construction planning and scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
Knowledge/experience of different types of project delivery methods such as P3 (Public Private Partnership), CCDC contracts, Lump Sum, Design Build, GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price), Project Management, Construction Management and Unit Price.
Knowledge of construction contract definitions (i.e., no damage for delay, liquidated damages, excusable vs. non‑excusable delays, concurrent delays) as well as understanding of how this language applies in the different contracts.
Ability to plan the installation of major construction elements such as Building structure (Concrete and Steel), Building Enclosure, MEiT, commissioning, and project close‑out.
Ability to present the plan to the Management, Subtrades, Consultants, Clients and collaboratively analyze and refine the plan. Identify the most feasible project schedule while adapting to owner requirements and project constraints such as accessibility, soil conditions, occupancy requirements, etc.
Must have or be eligible for CISD (PWSGC) Secret Level Clearance.
The salary range for this job is $125,000 - $140,000.
