Join the National Research Council as a Research Officer specializing in Modular Off-Site Construction and automation to support the decarbonization of Canada’s construction sector.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement.
You will be pivotal in the NRC's Platform aimed at transforming construction methods for a sustainable future. The Research Officer will conduct high-level research on Modular Off-Site Construction strategies, manage multifaceted projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders. Your input will facilitate necessary changes in construction practices toward reduced carbon emissions and enhanced productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct world-class research on Modular Off-Site Construction
• Manage comprehensive projects and develop research proposals
• Engage with industry partners and communicate research outcomes
• Support improvements in research facilities and findings publications
• Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
Requirements:
• PhD in Civil, Construction, or Architectural Engineering
• Extensive experience in Modular Off-Site Construction
• Skills in project management and stakeholder engagement
• Familiarity with construction automation technologies
• Experience in team-oriented research settings
