Location: Montreal
Pomerleau seeks a dedicated Health and Safety Specialist to enhance safety culture within its construction projects. Drive the implementation of effective safety measures and ensure regulatory compliance.
This position is integral to creating safe working environments across numerous high-value construction projects. You will be responsible for continuously monitoring the safety framework, conducting inspections, and ensuring all personnel are educated on potential risks. Collaborating with Health & Safety Managers and site supervisors, you'll enforce compliance and lead initiatives to prevent accidents and harm.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement site-specific health and safety programs
• Proactively identify and mitigate hazardous situations
• Investigate accidents and conduct training sessions
• Compile monthly safety statistics and reports
• Ensure adherence to CNESST regulations
Requirements:
• Post-secondary qualification in health and safety
• Certification from CNESST required
• At least 3 years in health and safety within construction
• Proven experience in managing safety on large projects
