Join CHEO as a Weekend Switchboard Operator in Ottawa, playing a vital role in the hospital's communication services. Provide top-tier customer service while navigating through a busy healthcare environment.
This part-time position requires you to handle incoming calls, direct visitors, and coordinate with various departments within one of Canada's best healthcare employers. You will be responsible for managing alarms, databases, and paging systems. Together, we can support the health and well-being of children and youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Redirect incoming calls to appropriate staff or departments
• Offer crucial information regarding hospital services
• Oversee alarm systems and consult emergency protocols
• Maintain accurate databases for staff and communication
• Perform overhead paging for rounds and emergencies
Requirements:
• High school diploma with three months related experience
• Customer service skills with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Must be bilingual (French/English)
• Knowledge of hospital environments is beneficial
