Senior Captain, Retail Architecture & Design; Ottawa

Position: Senior Job Captain, Retail Architecture & Design (Ottawa)
Responsibilities   Lead project coordination with the consultant team for each phase (Site Planning, Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Document, Construction services) to deliver a set of contract documents used for permits and construction.
Provide AutoCAD/Revit support for the preparation of project documents.
Utilize company resource groups for design and preparation of design and construction documents.
Assist the Project Manager with construction services (site visits, review of shop drawings, etc.).
Perform project code searches and analysis for each project.
Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of project schedules and review of budgets.
Provide assistance for submittals to jurisdiction agencies.
Communicate with clients, contractors, consultants, and Ware Malcomb team members.
Qualifications   5+ years of experience in Architecture.
Experience working on retail projects strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture preferred; equivalent related experience considered.
Revit skills.
Knowledge of building codes.
Ability to coordinate a complete set of contract documents.
Compensation and Benefits  Base salary $80,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on education, qualifications, experience, licensing, project specialty/complexity, and work location. Benefits and bonus eligibility available. This is a full‑time, long‑term position.
