Analyze architectural plans and prepare aluminum system estimates for OBE, using Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel. Support projects across commercial building applications.
As an Estimator in OBE’s Estimating Department, you will independently develop timely estimates for architectural aluminum systems. Your work covers curtain walls, storefronts, skylights, and specialty entrance systems. You will align solutions with architectural specifications and rigorous industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform digital quantity take-offs for aluminum and related hardware
Develop bills of materials for complex architectural projects
Review Division 08 specifications against product system requirements
Calculate raw material and manufacturing labor costs
Prepare bids and quotations for glazing and general contractors
Requirements:
Minimum two years estimating commercial glazing or architectural metal experience
Advanced architectural blueprint and technical shop drawing interpretation
Bluebeam Revu knowledge for digital take-offs
Strong Microsoft Excel skills for cost analysis
Understanding of curtain wall and thermally broken storefront systems
Apply architectural glazing expertise, technical drawing skills, and cost analysis knowledge to estimate OBE building envelope solutions.
