Join the University of Ottawa as a part-time professor for Elementary Spanish I. This in-person role emphasizes teaching fundamentals of Spanish grammar, pronunciation, and culture.
The University is seeking part-time faculty for the Fall 2026 semester in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. In this role, instructors will deliver coursework focusing on introductory Spanish grammar and student engagement through conversation and written exercises. Teaching experience at the A1/A2 level and familiarity with digital platforms like Blackboard are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct students in Spanish grammar, culture, and literature
• Conduct oral and written exercises with students
• Facilitate class management and fulfill administrative duties
• Implement educational technologies in instruction
• Collaborate on curriculum development with peers
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Spanish; registered in Doctorate program
• Near-native Spanish language competence (C1)
• Experience teaching Spanish at A1/A2 levels
• Bilingual in French and English
• Proven classroom management abilities
