As a Learning Resource Teacher (LRT) in WBE, your role involves creating and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs) while aiding in the identification and placement processes for students. You'll work closely with educators to customize instruction and facilitate classroom accommodations, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students
• Assist in identification and placement during case conferences
• Co-plan adaptations with classroom teachers for effective teaching
• Liaise with parents to track student progress and engagement
• Support school-wide planning for inclusive education initiatives
Requirements:
• Valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification
• Additional Qualifications in Special Education preferred
• Experience with diverse learning needs in inclusive settings
• Strong collaboration and communication skills required
• Knowledge of Anishinaabemowin is a plus
