Long & McQuade in Ottawa, ON, seeks an Independent Violin Lessons Teacher who can provide flexible lesson hours during the week and weekends.

In this independent contractor role, you’ll be an integral part of the Lesson Centre at Long & McQuade, focusing on violin instruction for students of all ages. Candidates must demonstrate teaching experience, hold a music degree, or possess sufficient RCM standing. Mastery of lesson curriculum and effective communication are key to fostering student growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in violin through individual lessons

• Develop lesson plans aligned with teaching standards

• Monitor and report on student achievements

• Foster open communication with students and parents

• Participate in the collaborative environment of the Lesson Centre

Requirements:

• Appropriate music degree or diploma required

• Minimum Grade 8 RCM with Grade 2 Rudiments

• Experience teaching a range of age groups

• Expertise in recognized teaching methods

• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
