Elite Domo Academy is seeking an experienced Senior Learning Architect – Curriculum & Competency Development to lead the design of the educational framework for a new professional training academy dedicated to careers within private households.
Working closely with Elite Domo leadership and industry subject-matter experts, the Learning Architect will translate extensive professional and employer knowledge into a structured, competency-based learning system.
The mandate will encompass the development of the Academy's competency framework, curriculum architecture, learning experience, assessment methodology, practical training model, and certification framework
.
This is a strategic educational design mandate rather than primarily a course-development position. The successful candidate will establish the pedagogical foundation upon which individual programs, courses, learning materials, and professional pathways can subsequently be developed.
The ideal candidate brings senior-level expertise in learning architecture, competency-based education, adult learning, curriculum development, assessment design, and professional or vocational education.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Learning Strategy & Architecture- Lead the development of the overall learning architecture for Elite Domo Academy.
- Translate the Academy's vision, industry expertise, and employer expectations into a coherent educational model.
- Establish pedagogical principles and standards to guide future curriculum and course development.
- Define appropriate learning pathways for entry-level, experienced, and management-level professionals.
- Ensure the educational architecture is modular, scalable, measurable, and adaptable to future programs.
- Develop a comprehensive competency framework defining the knowledge, skills, behaviours, and professional standards expected of graduates.
- Establish core, behavioural, technical, and leadership competency categories.
- Define proficiency levels and observable indicators for each competency.
- Translate professional expectations such as discretion, judgment, anticipation, adaptability, service orientation, and professionalism into measurable competencies.
- Establish clear connections between competencies, learning outcomes, instructional activities, and assessments.
- Design the overall curriculum structure, including learning domains, modules, sequencing, prerequisites, and progression.
- Develop measurable learning objectives and outcomes aligned with the competency framework.
- Recommend appropriate instructional hours and allocation between theoretical, experiential, and practical learning.
- Create a framework that supports both foundational learning and role-specific professional pathways.
- Establish curriculum-development standards that can be applied consistently as additional programs are introduced.
- Design an engaging adult-learning experience appropriate for highly practical, service-oriented professions.
- Recommend appropriate combinations of instructor-led learning, demonstrations, simulations, case studies, role-playing, guided practice, and independent learning.
- Incorporate realistic private household scenarios into the learning methodology.
- Develop an educational progression that moves learners from knowledge acquisition through practice to demonstrated professional competence.
- Ensure that behavioural and interpersonal competencies are embedded throughout the learning experience rather than treated exclusively as theoretical subjects.
- Develop a comprehensive competency-based assessment strategy.
- Recommend appropriate knowledge, practical, behavioural, and scenario-based assessment methodologies.
- Design assessment criteria, observation frameworks, scoring methodologies, and evaluation rubrics.
- Establish standards for determining successful demonstration of competence.
- Develop mechanisms to support consistency, objectivity, and quality assurance between instructors and assessors.
- Recommend appropriate capstone or final competency assessments.
- Design a framework for supervised practical training within appropriate residential or simulated household environments.
- Establish learning objectives and competency requirements for practical placements.
- Define supervisor and assessor responsibilities.
