Indigenous Languages - Pool; Fall

Applying to the Candidate Pool will keep your application on file for six (6) months. We may pre-screen candidates for temporary employment opportunities that arise.

Job description and tasks

In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, the role also includes:

• Involvement in pedagogical days organized by the College
• Participation in departmental meetings
• Involvement in student-focused activities such as field trips, competitions, and year-end Graduate Exhibition.
• Performing other department related administrative duties

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in an Indigenous language
  * or
• Certificate of Graduation in one of the community based Indigenous language
  * immersion programs or
• Fluency in an Indigenous language
  * and at least one year of teaching experience
• Firsthand knowledge of Kanien'kéha:ka or Cree culture
• Fluency in both English and an Indigenous language *
• Teaching experience at the college level is an asset
• General knowledge of French is an asset
