Salary: $25.08 - $26.75 per hour

School principal
Nature of the work
Assist handicapped students in participating in activities related to their schooling.
Description of tasks
Assists the student in moving from one location to another, including to and from their mode of transportation
Ensures the student's personal hygiene
Supervise students during recess and lunch, meal periods, and recreation time
Assists the teacher in communicating basic concepts of cleanliness and personal care, such as dressing, eating and drinking
Assists the student in preparing and carrying out pedagogical and student activities
Records observations concerning the student's needs and behaviours. May be required to inform teachers, parents and other designated staff and give advice on the measures specified in the individual education plan.
Perform any other related duty.
Desired profile
Meet the following 2 profiles:
Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in Assistance in Health Care Facilities or hold a Secondary School Diploma or hold a diploma or attestation of studies recognized as equivalent
Have one (1) year of pertinent experience in those areas requiring self-discipline, general concepts in psychology and human relations skills.
Other requirements
Hold a certificate dated no more than three (3) years attesting to the successful completion of:
a standard first aid course of a minimum eight (8)-hour duration;
a refresher course of a minimum six(6)-hour duration updating the skills acquired in the course mentioned in subparagraph 1.
Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
Must be able to physically support the student
