The University of Ottawa seeks a Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 semester. Engage with students and support the Faculty of Education in Main Campus activities.
This position at the Faculty of Education provides an essential role for a Teaching Assistant, where you'll consult with the supervising professor regarding responsibilities. The role involves various tasks determined post-consultation, emphasizing collaboration within the educational environment. As part of your challenges, you will connect directly with students while undertaking preparation and grading tasks that will arise during the semester.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the supervising professor on assigned tasks
• Assist with student interaction and queries
• Support the course professor in necessary preparations
• Manage grading and assessment duties
• Facilitate training sessions as needed
Requirements:
• Must be enrolled in EDU 5261 DA00/DA10
• Contract duration of 130 hours
• Successful completion of university-mandated training
• Commitment to inclusivity and diversity initiatives
• Able to communicate effectively in English
