Become a Dance Instructor with Laurus, leading a fun after-school program for children aged 5 to 10. Create engaging dance experiences every Monday to inspire creativity and confidence.
Laurus seeks an energetic and creative Dance Instructor for a 10-week after-school program starting September 14, 2026. This position involves teaching children from Kindergarten to Grade 4 the fundamentals of dance in an inclusive, supportive environment. You will focus on rhythm, coordination, and teamwork while maintaining positive group management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and lead engaging weekly dance classes
• Teach participants age-appropriate dance fundamentals
• Create routines adapted to children's abilities
• Introduce various dance styles and creative movement
• Ensure emotional safety and comfort for all students
Requirements:
• Dance training or equivalent practical experience
• Previous teaching or childcare experience preferred
• Creative and patient with strong communication skills
• Ability to work with children aged 5 to 10
• Capability to independently plan weekly classes
