Make a difference as a Career Advisor with the Marguerite-Bourgeoys School Service Centre. Help students chart their educational and professional paths with informed advice.
In this engaging role, you will evaluate students’ interests, aptitudes, and personal challenges through one-on-one and group meetings. Conduct counseling sessions that promote self-awareness and help students set achievable career goals. You will collaborate with parents, addressing their concerns and guiding them on how to best support their children's education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess student interests and personal background
• Conduct individualized and group counseling sessions
• Support students in achieving their educational projects
• Communicate effectively with parents about opportunities
• Organize school activities showcasing various professions
Requirements:
• Membership with the Order of Career Advisors (OCCOQ)
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Empathetic and proficient in active listening
• Familiarity with local community resources an asset
• Relevant education network knowledge preferred
