Teacher for Adults with Disabilities

Location: Montreal

Shape futures as a Teacher in Social Participation at CEA de LaSalle, starting in September 2026. Work with adult learners to cultivate their social and cognitive skills in a safe, encouraging setting.

This part-time role (10 hours per week) emphasizes personalized teaching approaches for adults with diverse needs and challenges. Focused on developing social integration skills, you will work with small groups and adapt your methods to suit each learner's unique situation. Coordination with the support staff is crucial for reinforcing classroom learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tailor course design to meet diverse student needs

• Facilitate and teach social participation-focused programs

• Implement individualized teaching strategies effectively

• Encourage and assist social integration of learners

• Support student development of autonomy and initiative

Requirements:

• Experience with adults with ASD or related challenges

• Proven ability to collaborate with educational personnel

• Strong autonomy in planning and organizational tasks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must have transport to Varennes
