** Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
**** Education
* ** MA in a relevant field (i.e. Reading methodologies for elementary school-aged children, science of reading)
* PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset
** Experience
* * 1.Experience as a master teacher/instructor in reading methods and/or extensive relevant experience as an elementary school educator/pedagogue.
* Theory and practice of teaching reading in the k/elementary classrooms
* Historical and contemporary issues affecting literacy/multi-literacies teaching
* Science of reading: reading process and applications to teaching and learning
* QEP Language Arts curriculum across all cycles
* Planning, teaching and evaluation of reading
* Theory and practice for struggling readers
2.Experience as a master teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system
3.Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP)4.Familiarity with the professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation
** Other
* ** Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level
* Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion
* Familiarity using my Courses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences
* Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset
* Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools
** Other information:
*** Commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructors
* Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting in advance of course start date
