1.Master educator with an MA (i.e., social studies education, social studies teaching and learning) and/or extensive relevant experience as a school educator/teacher/pedagogue.
2.PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset.  Experience
1.Expert knowledge of:
* Quebec’s educational program.
* Quebec’s social studies program at the secondary school level
* The teaching and learning of social studies (history, geography, and citizenship education).
* Elementary teaching and learning theory/ methodologies.
* Sound instructional techniques.
2.Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.  Other
1.Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate level.
2.Experience as a master teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system is an asset.
3.Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion.
4.Familiarity using my Courses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences.
5.Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset.
6.Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.
