Join the Lester
B. Pearson School Board as a casual student supervisor for the lunch program. Ensure student safety and adherence to rules in a dynamic school environment.
This role requires supervising groups of 20-25 students during lunch hours, approximately 1-2 hours per day. Your primary focus will be on maintaining safety standards while engaging with students. This position may lead to temporary lay-offs during the summer period, making it suitable for those seeking flexible work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise 20-25 students during lunch hours
• Ensure safety rules are followed within the school
• Monitor student behavior in buildings and grounds
• Provide assistance and guidance as needed
• Communicate effectively with students and staff
Requirements:
• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience working with children
• First aid certification (within 3 years)
• Completed refresher course for first aid skills
• Passion for working with students
