Location: Montreal
Support MIMM 385 at McGill University by guiding practical immunology learning, grading assessments, and teaching safe laboratory procedures. Work occurs Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
This teaching assistant assignment supports the Department of Microbiology & Immunology’s Laboratory in Immunology course. You will prepare weekly material, guide 10 to 16 undergraduates, and assess participation, reports, presentations, quizzes, and exams. The position also includes course-content support and student communication.
Key Responsibilities:- Read weekly material before Wednesday afternoon lab sessions
- Attend Friday afternoon TA meetings with the instructor
- Instruct students on safe laboratory procedures
- Assist with uploading content and managing MyCourses questions
- Grade assessments according to outlined answer formats
- Solid understanding of immunology is required
- Knowledge of key immunology research methods preferred
- Microbiology knowledge preferred
- Effective communication in English is essential
- French communication skills are desirable
