We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at  Jack Donohue Elementary School .
Jack Donohue Public School opened in September 2004 and was named after the late legendary Canadian National Basketball coach Jack Donohue. JDPS is dedicated to providing an enriched and stimulating learning environment for students from JK to grade
8. JDPS is a dual‑track school which offers both English/Core French and Early French Immersion programs. The staff and students at JDPS work closely with the community and our families to support each other in developing life‑long learners in a safe and positive learning environment.
Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa‑Carleton District School Board’s (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of education in the school, and the District, by creating a positive and inclusive school climate, learning and workplace environment. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully, with a human rights and equity perspective, to foster student success, achievement and well‑being.
Eligibility List  This posting is open to all Occasional Teachers who DO NOT already have a part time contract.

If you are fully external to the OCDSB, you are encouraged to apply to this posting if you have the required qualifications.
The French language freeze continues to be in effect. Therefore, if you accept any teaching percentage of French contract, you may only be considered for other French contract positions.
Applications Will Be Considered In The Following Order   All OCDSB Elementary Contract teachers (full‑time & part‑time teachers, teachers interested in transferring or increasing status) are equally eligible to apply for this OCDSB vacancy for which they are qualified.
Qualified OT Roster applicants:
At least three (3) teachers, who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB, and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting.
If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply, all qualified applicants will be interviewed.
