Part-Time School Library Technician

Support student learning as a part-time Library Technician with the Ottawa Catholic School Board, using digital systems and literacy expertise. Serve the Convent Glen area while operating a school Learning Commons for staff and students.
The Ottawa Catholic School Board seeks a term Library Technician for a 0.50 FTE position. You will deliver Learning Commons services in an automated environment while promoting authors, books, literacy, technology, and special events. The position also includes administrative functions and volunteer coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the school Learning Commons for staff and students
Provide services in an automated and digital environment
Promote authors, books, literacy, and technology
Organize special events and coordinate volunteer activities
Perform Learning Commons and school administrative functions
Requirements:
Relevant Library Technician or Information Science degree or diploma
Two years of related experience
Expertise with Insignia or similar library software systems
Knowledge of Google Suite, hardware, software, mobile technology, and AV equipment
Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Bring library systems expertise, literacy promotion, and organized service to the Ottawa Catholic School Board Learning Commons.
