This term Educational Assistant supports students with specific physical, intellectual, behavioural, social, medical, or learning needs. The assignment may involve a regular classroom or special education setting. You will assist academic development, physical, emotional, and hygienic needs, and broader educational programming.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with specific developmental, physical, or sensory needs
Assist students experiencing behavioural, social, medical, or learning difficulties
Support academic development in classroom and special education settings
Respond to students’ physical, emotional, and hygienic needs
Contribute as a school team member to educational programming
Requirements:
Secondary school diploma
Two-year related Community college diploma or child-related university degree
Two years’ relevant experience working with children with disabilities
Experience supporting behavioural or other learning difficulties
Availability throughout the term assignment dates
