Location: Baie-D'Urfé

Since 2017, TARQUTI has been developing environmentally responsible renewable energy projects tailored to the specific needs of Nunavik communities. Recognized as a trusted partner of Hydro-Québec, TARQUTI is also involved in research and development initiatives aimed at advancing innovative energy solutions for remote Arctic regions, including solar, wind, and hydroelectric power.
TARQUTI promotes an inclusive and participatory business model that enables local and regional stakeholders — such as cooperatives and landholding corporations — to lead their own decarbonization projects while ensuring that economic benefits remain within Nunavik.
Role context and growth opportunities  As part of the progressive commissioning of its renewable energy assets in Nunavik — including two (2) wind farms equipped with Enercon turbines in Quaqtaq (3 MW) and Puvirnituq (9 MW) — TARQUTI is creating the position of Lead Wind Turbine Technician – Level 3.
A true technical and operational pillar, initially at the Quaqtaq and Puvirnituq Wind Farms’ sites, the incumbent will perform and/or coordinate mechanical and electrical interventions, as well as inspection and monitoring activities, to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability of the installations.
In a context where autonomy and rigor are essential, the incumbent will plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities while actively contributing to knowledge transfer within the team. The role will progressively expand to support operations across multiple sites as new projects are commissioned. In a rapidly evolving environment, the incumbent will exercise functional authority in the field and act as a key operational leader.

He/she will coordinate activities, support team engagement and development, and contribute to structuring operational practices.
As a site reference, the incumbent will ensure the rigorous application of standards, continuous improvement of processes, and adherence to the highest health and safety standards. This position is designed as a strategic step toward future management responsibilities, with direct involvement in the development and organization of operations.
Position Summary  Reporting to the Director of Project Development, the Lead Wind Turbine Technician – Level 3 serves as both a technical and operational reference. The incumbent will be responsible for:
