The Wireless Labs department is looking for an innovative wireless software engineer with interest in advanced wireless communication technologies to join our Wireless Research platform project. The role is to contribute to the design and implementation of advanced wireless protocols for future 3

GPP wireless technologies, including the evolution of 5G‑Advanced New Radio () and 6G. We are seeking an engineer with a passion to implement and demonstrate innovative solutions, algorithms and protocols to some of the most challenging future wireless problems. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in software design, implementation, networking protocols and embedded systems with a high interest in developing innovative solutions in wireless communications and radio access systems.

• Carry out software design, implementation and validation of wireless protocol innovations in proof‑of‑concepts for the evolution of 5G‑Advanced radio technologies, and for 6G and beyond.
• Conduct evaluation, analysis, and development of innovative solutions applicable to L2/MAC and above protocol layers.
• Contribute to the development of novel ideas to solve complex problems and optimize a broad range of radio access technologies.
• Support wireless research teams and 3
  
  GPP standardization activities through development of wireless prototypes, innovative features, demonstrations, and contributions to Standards groups.

• MS or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field with up to five years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in C programming is a must.
• Knowledge and use of source control, preferably Git Hub/Git Lab, and Linux is a must.
• Strong background in multi‑threaded real‑time software development.
• Strong analytical, technical, problem‑solving and innovative skills.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (e.g. IP, UDP, TCP, HTTP, RTP, QUIC, Ethernet).
• Hands‑on experience with Open Air Interface (OAI) and USRP software defined radio is an advantage.
• Experience and/or knowledge of 3
  
  GPP 5G  and higher protocol layers is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong team player.
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
