SPECIALIST, BUILDING INFRASTRUCTURE AND SYSTEMS

POSITION SUMMARY :

The main responsibilities of the building services technician are to ensure the maintenance of all building components. In addition, he/she must respond to service requests and ensure that all systems maintenance is carried out properly at all times on the Company's site. By systems we mean all building mechanical equipment (heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, ventilation, fire protection electronic control etc.)

in addition to electrical equipment as well as architectural, structural and civil components.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ::

Coordination of work (75%)

  • Plans work using computer-assisted maintenance management software;
  • Coordinates work carried out by suppliers (general or specialized contractors);
  • Responds to emergency calls and adapts priorities accordingly;
  • Estimates work costs as required;
  • Prepares technical specifications as required;
  • Analyzes bids according to established standards and recommends appropriate suppliers;
  • Ensures the satisfaction of internal collaborators;
  • Develops and updates system use and maintenance guides.
  • Work monitoring and control (15%)

  • Follows up work under his/her responsibility according to specifications (cost, quality, schedule);
  • Collaborates in the review of construction plans and shop drawings;
  • Ensures systems optimization and building energy management;
  • Approves suppliers' time sheets;
  • Ensures warranty follow-up;
  • Ensures systems comply with established construction, safety and environmental standards
  • Technical support (10%)

  • Carries out technical surveys to maintain an up-to-date inventory of all the Company's physical installations;
  • Ascertains the condition of systems, analyzes data and presents results and/or irregularities to his/her immediate superior;
  • Inspects systems and verifies compliance with regulations;
  • Provides technical support and preventive maintenance advice to the Company;
  • Updates knowledge related to its field.
  • EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :

  • 5 years' experience in building and infrastructure maintenance
  • Supervision of maintenance work
  • Supervision of general work performed by contractors
  • DEC in building mechanics, electricity, civil engineering, architecture or equivalent
  • Very good knowledge of plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, electricity and building control systems
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
  • Computer skills: MS Office Suite, computer-aided maintenance management software
  • English: level 2 (basic)
  • Valid driver's license
