Job SummaryThis role plays a key part in advancing Volatus’ autonomy capabilities for unmanned aircraft operating in harsh environments and degraded navigation conditions. We are looking to hire an experienced PNT engineer to be part of our team and help us build cutting edge RF algorithms that will make a difference to UAV’s performance. This position is based in Mirabel, Quebec.

Nous cherchons à recruter un(e) ingénieur(e) PNT expérimenté(e) afin de rejoindre notre équipe et de contribuer au développement d’algorithm es RF de pointe ayant un impact direct sur les performances des UAV.
Responsibilities/ Responsabilités principales
- Support development of navigation and timing capabilities for unmanned aircraft systems.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate navigation-related components into airborne systems.
- Develop and maintain tools for data collection, analysis, and performance evaluation.
- Support lab, ground, and field testing activities and contribute to test readiness.
- Produce clear engineering documentation and support program execution activities.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with navigation systems, sensors, or avionics integration in embedded or airborne environments.
- Working knowledge of real-time software and data analysis workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in test-driven environments.
- Ability to collaborate across software, hardware, and flight test teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SDR platforms and RF front-ends (e.g., GNU Radio, embedded SDRs).
- Experience with direction finding methods.
- UAV integration experience (PX4/Ardu Pilot ecosystems, MAVLink, avionics interfaces).
- Experience with antenna integration and practical.
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI constraints for airborne electronics.
- Standard 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday
- Occasional flexibility may be required to support time-sensitive activities or flight test campaigns
- Environment combining offices, laboratories and flight test activities
