Job Opportunity – Junior Civil Engineer (Recent Graduate)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Civil Engineer (recent graduate) to join our

innovative R&D team at Aero Nova Advanced Materials. In this entry-level role, you will support the

development and optimization of lightweight, high-insulation pre-cast concrete elements

integrated with our proprietary aerogel composites. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent

graduate passionate about sustainable construction, materials science, and turning academic

knowledge into real-world, eco-friendly building solutions. You will contribute to groundbreaking

innovations in energy-efficient building materials under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in research and development of pre-cast concrete formulations incorporating

aerogel to improve thermal insulation, reduce weight, and enhance durability.

Support the design, prototyping, and testing of pre-cast concrete components (e.g., panels,

blocks, and structural elements) to meet industry standards for strength, fire resistance,

and environmental performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including materials scientists, senior engineers,

and product developers, to integrate aerogel technology into pre-cast processes.

Participate in laboratory experiments, simulations, and field trials to evaluate material

properties such as compressive strength, thermal conductivity, and moisture resistance.

Help analyze data using engineering software and tools to support optimization of mix

designs, curing processes, and manufacturing techniques.

Contribute to technical documentation, reports, and presentations to aid the product

development and stakeholder communication.

Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in sustainable

materials and pre-cast concrete.

Support intellectual property activities, such as assisting with documentation for potential

patent applications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (completed) in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, and Chemical

Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree or focus on concrete technology,

composites, or sustainable materials is a plus. Recent graduates (0–2 years of professional

experience) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Strong foundational knowledge of concrete properties, mix design basics, and relevant

testing standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI).

Exposure to advanced materials (e.g., aerogels, polymers, or nanomaterials) through

coursework, projects, internships, or research is highly desirable.

Hands-on experience with lab testing, prototyping, or software tools (e.g., MATLAB,

AutoCAD, or simulation software) from academic projects or internships is an asset.

Excellent problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and a demonstrated interest in

innovative materials engineering.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with experience in group projects or

multidisciplinary settings.

Passion for sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of the built environment.

What We Offer:

Competitive entry-level salary and equity options in a high-growth startup.

Opportunities for professional development, mentorship, conferences, and collaborations

with leading institutions.

A collaborative, innovative, and supportive work environment.

The chance to make a tangible impact on global energy efficiency and climate goals.
