Job Description

The Opportunity:

Our Structural Packaging Design team is dedicated to designing, developing, and producing innovative and functional packaging solutions that showcase our products while meeting market demands. From ideation to production, we work closely with internal and external partners to create ingenious, eco-friendly packaging concepts that align with our brand identity and contribute to the global success of our products. In this context, we are looking for a creative and motivated Associate Structural Designer with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working both independently and collaboratively.

Reporting to the Structural Packaging Manager, the successful candidate will design toy packaging that meets high standards of quality, originality, ingenuity, and cost optimization, in close collaboration with internal and external teams.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Carry out activities related to product ideation (sketches, research on competing products).
  • Support the structural team in the development and assembly of prototypes.
  • Participate in the design of original and ingenious packaging.
  • Produce prototypes for internal approval.
  • Prepare the necessary documents for submission and production.
  • Validate the packaging with its contents and take the necessary steps for production.
  • Resolve production-related issues.
  • Work closely with the engineering, graphic design, marketing, and product design teams.
Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in industrial design, packaging engineering, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, sometimes under pressure.
  • Independence, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to work in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Knowledge of Artios, Photoshop, and Illustrator (an asset).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Works, and MS Office.
  • Good understanding of packaging materials (cardboard, paper, plastic, etc.) and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
  • Bilingualism (asset).
  • Creativity, curiosity, and... a touch of madness!
