Our client is a globally recognized leader in engineering innovation, technology, and advanced manufacturing. With a strong presence in the aerospace and industrial sectors, 3M ismitted to developing high‑performance solutions that shape the future of design and engineering. This role is part of their A&D Application Engineering team located in St‑Laurent, Montreal, providing a dynamic environment where technical excellence and collaboration drive every project.
Your new role
As a Design Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, modelling, and analyzingponents using CATIA. You will create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and installation documentation in line with customer and industry requirements. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will participate in design reviews, validate design performance, support prototype development, and ensure all engineering documentation is accurate and up to date.
This is a full‑time, 6‑month contract with the possibility of extension.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this position, you’ll bring:
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace EngineeringProven experience using CATIA for 3D modelling and 2D draftingStrong understanding of CAD principles, mechanical design, and design validationExcellent problem‑solving skills and high attention to detailAbility to work effectively within cross‑functional teamsStrong verbal and writtenmunication skills in both French and EnglishExperience with PLM systems (considered an asset)Ability to support prototype development, testing phases, and documentation updatesWhat you'll get in return
