About the role
The R&D Mechanical Engineer II leverages their expertise in the definition, design, and testing of medical device products in the development of EP ablation medical devices. As a member of the EP mechanical hardware design team in Montreal, they make significant contributions to the development of innovative medical devices that transform lives by designing and testing mechanical products for the delivery of high-voltage treatments, communication, and interfacing with probes.
They will have the opportunity to take on and lead parts of studies while being part of an experienced design team that will offer significant technical and career growth opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Create advanced CAD models of parts, assemblies, and equipment using Solid Works and Solid Works Electrical tools.Create drawings in Solid Works in accordance with Global Boston Scientific Corporation’s internal CAD standards and templates.Use the CAD database management tool to track drawings, parts, revisions, and assembly properties.Research, develop, design, and evaluate materials, components, assemblies, processes, and/or mechanical and electromechanical equipment.Conduct feasibility studies to verify capacity and functionality.Develop new concepts from the initial design phase to product production.Lead personnel support and coordinate project activities.Maintain detailed documentation throughout all research and development phases.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering2+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experienceExcellent skills in creating advanced CAD models of parts, assemblies, and equipment using Solid Works tools.Strong mechanical engineering skills, including plumbing, tube assemblies, and sheet metal design using CAD software.Extensive laboratory experience with debugging, setups, and test equipment.Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with motors, gears, and/or motor control applications.Experience in rapid prototyping.Experience in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and thermal analysis.Experience in thermodynamics and flow analysis.Experience using 2D schematics and 3D routing with Solid Works Electrical.À propos du poste
L’ingénieur mécanique II met à profit son expertise dans la définition, la conception et les tests de produits de dispositifs médicaux dans le cadre de la mise au point de dispositifs médicaux d’ablation EP. En tant que membre de l’équipe de conception du matériel mécanique d’EP à Montréal, il contribue de manière importante au développement d’appareils médicaux inédits qui transforment les vies en concevant et en expérimentant des produits mécanique pour l’administration de traitements à haute tension, la communication et l’interface avec les sondes.
