Introduction
We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join our Canadian Professional Services team. You will be responsible for supporting the development of accurate, competitive proposals for field service and turnkey projects, which involves gathering technical inputs, coordinating information across teams, preparing documentation, and maintaining proposal records. Your role plays a crucial part in delivering high quality, timely proposals that support business growth and strengthen customer relationships.
In this position, you will report to the Estimator.
This position is mainly located in Canada, with limited travel required for customer visits or internal meetings.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of estimation and project support professionals dedicated to developing competitive proposals and enabling smooth transitions from RFQs to project execution. We are currently working on field service proposals, turnkey project cost estimates, vendor quote coordination, and the continuous improvement of proposal templates and documentation processes.
We work closely with internal stakeholders such as Sales Support, Market Area teams, Project Engineering, Procurement, and Field Service, as well as external vendors. Our team culture is all about collaboration, accuracy, responsiveness, and continuous improvement. Team members are located across various locations in Canada.
What you’ll do
• Review customer RFQs and distribute relevant information to internal teams.
• Gather technical, commercial, and pricing inputs from Engineering, Sales Support, Field Service, and vendors.
• Support the Estimator in preparing cost estimates for labor, equipment, and materials.
• Draft proposal content including pricing tables, scopes of supply, and clarifications.
• Maintain proposal templates, document libraries, and standardized content.
• Track proposal progress and coordinate cross functional inputs to ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain accurate proposal records in CRM (Salesforce) and assist with reporting.
• Prepare complete handover packages for Project Management once orders are received.
Who you are
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Comfortable working with cross functional teams and external vendors.
• Motivated, proactive, and adaptable in fast paced environments.
• Able to travel occasionally for customer or internal meetings.
Nice to have:
• Experience in estimating, proposal development, or project coordination.
• Background in technical, industrial, or project based environments.
• Experience with Salesforce or SAP.
• Bilingual in French and English.
